Now after a year, I have finally reached a point where those who didn't know me before I transitioned, I let believe that I was female, through and through. All of the girls that I worked with simply took me as genuine and I felt very comfortable with them as just one of the girls.
Since I came out, I have been in a state of joy (I even changed my middle name to Joy) and in love with my life and everyone in it. People around me noticed this and would often remark how happy and cheerful I always seemed to be. After a month or so, I would start telling these new girlfriends, one by one, my little secret, that I was transgender and you wouldn't believe how they just took my revelation in strides and some even said to me that they were so glad I told them. Most even said that they would never have known my secret if I had never said anything.
I count myself lucky that I live in the small State capital city of Santa Fe, NM, which seems to be a Mecca for not only transgender people, but for other non-conforming people, gender or otherwise, who never seemed to fit in anywhere else, and I would hear the same story over and over about how they seemed to be "called" to live here. deannajoyhallmarkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11139843762831976746noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2136378214973154637.post-5858257090300583502012-12-05T11:50:52.343-08:002012-12-05T11:50:52.343-08:00This was a wonderful and refreshing post about all...This was a wonderful and refreshing post about all that is good with people...most people.
